Cell phone companies see spike in surveillance requests
Reuters: Cell phone companies have seen a rise in requests from US law enforcement for customers’ phone records, according to newly released data.
More than 1.3 million requests for cell phone records were made last year across all carries, and Verizon Wireless, the No. 1 US company, reported an annual 15 percent spike in requests
